Jerry L. Mueller, 63, of Tripoli, died suddenly Monday, October 16, 2017, at his home in Tripoli.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Frederika with Rev. Jane Harris officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, at Rettig Funeral Home in Tripoli and for one hour preceding services at the church on Friday. Memorials may be made to the family for later designation.
Jerry Lee, son of Dale and Bernice (Albrecht) Mueller was born January 11, 1954, at the hospital in Sumner. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Frederika. Jerry received his early education in the Frederika Schools and graduated from Tripoli High School in 1972. On November 17, 1984, he was united in marriage with Margaret Marcurella at St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua. To this union three daughters were born, Jessica, Jennifer, and Jeri. After a few years living in Georgia, the family returned to Frederika in 1991 and lived there until moving to Tripoli in 2004. Jerry worked for Omega Cabinets in Waterloo for fifteen years. While working for Omega Cabinets, he was able to incorporate his passion of wood-working with his profession.
In addition to his wife, Margaret of Tripoli, Jerry is survived by his three daughters, Jessica (Ross) Schwake of Cedar Falls, Jennifer (Eric) Willes of Washington, Oklahoma, and Jeri Mueller of Tripoli; five grandchildren, Jaycee Willes, Brysen Willes, Bailey Schwake, Ila Willes, and Shilah Schwake; three sisters, Virginia Folwer of Texas, Sharon Bohlen of Arizona, and Nancy (Roger) Bonorden of Altoona; and one brother, Charles Mueller of Tripoli.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three unborn grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Janice Mueller.
